Each module integrates a touch panel with a graphic LCD via an intelligent uP based controller card. This scheme simplifies the interface to your host microprocessor by creating a peripheral device, which can reside on a data buss or be driven through a bi-directional port. An on-board 16 bit uP performs all of the house keeping chores associated with managing the touch panel and display allowing a high level language to be used for touch panel and graphic commands.

The smaller TVM2464BTC (240 x 64 pixels) has a 20 wire hardware interface which includes an 8 bit data buss, power supply pins, various hardware status bits and interrupt signals.

The larger 240 x 128 pixel TVM24128BTC has the same 8 bit parallel interface plus an additional RS232 serial interface as well. The parallel language is upwardly compatible from the TVM2464 to the TVM24128.

Both modules are available with an EL backlight requiring a single 5-Volt power supply. The TVM2464LTC is also available with an LED backlight system for higher contrast and brightness. This unit requires an additional 12 Volt 350 mA supply.
